We have a lot of fun planning kids parties, but it’s extra special when we do it for our own. This year I’ve had my share of birthday planning for my own brood, with Edie turning 5, Isla two and my youngest Henry turning one all a couple months apart!! Whew, mama’s tired but also proud of what was pulled off to make it fun and special for my littles. Today I’ll be sharing the photos of Henry’s first fiesta with you also featured on Inspired by This today here!

Wedding season is coming to a slow end for us as we approach Fall. Our crazy but fun Spring and Summer we worked with the most amazing couples helping them execute their vision on their most important day to date! It’s the best part of our jobs seeing them so happy, and having the best time with their friends and family. Erin and Chris were no exception here. Erin contacted us and from our first conversation I knew she would be a Beijos bride. Her sense of style and attention to detail was right up our alley and we couldn’t wait to help her design and plan out her day. Plus she had already picked out her venue, Gainey Vineyard, which is in the heart of one of our favorite places, none other than Santa Ynez. The light is just super magical against the rolling hills and rows of endless vineyards.

As a bride, Erin was a master planner. A dream to work with as she was super organized and knew every detail she wanted to execute. With a beautiful venue like Gainey Vineyard on her side, she made plans to make it a super memorable one. Plus, with Beijos to bounce ideas off of and guide her vision, the day was literally perfect. It was overall rustic, which fit the surroundings.
It brought in a pretty dainty vintage vibe in the signage and tabletop but also had a fun edge to it with the catering and band. All of these elements making it very personal to Erin and Chris becoming “The Roses”. The ceremony space was breathtaking underneath a huge gorgeous oak tree overlooking…you guessed it, the beautiful rolling hills and the endless vineyards! How picturesque this place was!
The flowers fit the scene so well too with soft pinks and olive branch touches. The dance party though…wow! Erin was set on her band from the second she got engaged. Flash Plants, the 80’s tribute band was super entertaining, and the crowd was loving it!
From the couple… Before we started conceptualizing the style, we knew we wanted the whole weekend to feel like us, having our personalities and love shine through. We also wanted to give us and our guests a really really really good time and make it a memorable experience! Our ceremony was very personalized, emotional and heartfelt and our reception was just insanely fun! We felt it struck the perfect balance!
Style-wise I feel like, if Joanna Gaines and Kate Moss had a baby, it would be our wedding. The vibe was romantic and vineyard-chic and we had pops of fun, cool personal touches everywhere. We opted for a soft color palette of blushes, pinks and creams, mixing in olive tree leaf green and wood to play up the location, topping it all off with and an eclectic mix of warm metallics and of course touches of rose gold.
The one advice I would give, is to listen to the advice that everyone tells you – coming out the other side, it’s all true! I didn’t want to believe it, but yes, the day flies by; yes, it’s an out of body experience; yes the day won’t be perfect; yes make time in timeline to just enjoy and party and yes, make sure you eat!
Hands down one of the best dance parties we’ve been to at one of our weddings!! Congratulations Erin & Chris, we will remember your special day always, thank you for letting us share your special day!
Happy Cinco de Mayo!! I couldn’t think of a better day to feature my sisters beautiful Spanish inspired wedding, also featured on Green Wedding Shoes today too by the way. Check out the feature here.

Starting with moments after their first look in this pretty historic hacienda
Her bouquet was bananas, but what would you expect from The Bloom Babes??
I’m flashing back to last Fall when I was helping my sister plan her big day looking through all of these beautiful pictures. Back then we were meeting on a regular basis dreaming up all of the fun details. Even though I do this for a living and manage multiple weddings at a time, it’s pretty special to see your little sisters vision come to life. A time of planning and executing I will never forget, only to get a perfect day as the end result. Plus a happy new couple and a new member to our family.
Some of my favorites of the pretty flower girl…but I’m a little biased!
Bloom Babes did a perfect job with the florals as per usual…love working with those babes!
They got married at the coolest chapel in Downtown Santa Barbara. El Presidio de Santa Barbara Historic Park. So much history in the prettiest little town. Just what my sister had been envisioning for her day. Here’s our dad waiting to walk his last daughter down the isle.
This is the coolest picture, I just love Mariachis!!
Let’s parade over to cocktail hour, shall we??
And the escort signage from Blot and Dot, one of the favorite details…
And some more killer reception details…
This is my favorite part of designing, the TABLE!! From picking the flowers to the table number detail, the signature wine glass to the place card and don’t forget the favor…and wait the napkin!! All of these little things are carefully thought of, and rightfully in it’s place. It’s a beauty to see it all come to life. These table essentials all work together creating a story of uniqueness and beauty, and all the while going along with the theme of the event.
These paper flowers hanging along side the lights came out so good!!
Maracas at the table for the celebration.
And little tequila shot favors for the guests to take home.
Circa Vintage Rentals helped us design this cute lounge
And the history of two families becoming one
On to the sweet heart table…
Now on to invite suite details… Um Meghann Miniello, your so good!
The gorgeous bride
And his details…
The handsome groom
Let’s jump back into these two for their killer couple shots during cocktail hour, these are some of my favorites!!
I think these two will make cute babies….
Congratulations you two, now let’s meet the fam…
All of the adorable nieces and nephews.
And our little fam bam
One day I’ll tell you the story behind this outfit my dad chose. Let’s just say he likes to stir the pot!! haha
Now let’s party!!
Cheers to you Mr. & Mrs. Beal!!
We can’t forget about these gorgeous and yummy cakes from Beverly’s best!!
Best dancer of the evening hands down…
It’s been a pleasure to share this special day with you. Hope you enjoyed peeking into it!!
It has been a while Beijos Blog readers, and it’s feeling so good to write on here and share my daughters 5th birthday party with you all! You can also find it here on 100 Layercakelet featured yesterday.
As you know turning 5 is kind of a big deal, and even though I like to celebrate every year, this one had to be a memorable one. Adding to the pressure, Edie was insistent on a tea party! She was also super excited to see the upcoming live action Belle movie that came out around her birthday, so she decided she wanted a tea party with Belle. Yeah, no big deal…make it happen mom! Long gone are the days where mommy gets to choose the theme. So I had to put my Beijos hat on for this one and make it the way mommy wanted it, but also make her the happiest little girl in the world on her 5th birthday. And it was pretty cool to see!!
Let’s start with the invites…
Meghann Miniello did an awesome job. In fact, she knocked it out of the park with the doilies and the transparent yellow envelopes. Man I’m a sucker for a good invite!! Knowing Belle’s colors are red and yellow, I wanted to spin it up a little and make it a variety of pinks and yellow instead, haha. I like the flow of those colors way better. Plus they mix better with the metallics I was planning on integrating. Then I found this magenta velvet ribbon and it added the perfect royal finishing touch!
We had the party in the creative space at Au Fudge, which is a really pretty room! It connects to pretty cute tree house the kiddos were in most of the time, which allowed the mama’s to mingle and the kiddos to do their thing… get wild. I mean, I love this place, can one be open in every county??
Can we talk about this balloon install from Wild Child Party next please?? I called Jolie, because she’s been showing off her talents with balloon design and I asked her if we could do Edie’s name. Let’s just say she’s pretty much amazing!
Jolie’s shop also provided the pretty pink table top.
Loved tying in the magenta ribbon again here on the table.
Every little one had a personalized little tea cup at their place setting, hand written by Meghann Minniello
I wanted all the girls to have a little bouquet to take home and the boys an boutonniere of course!
Can we talk about these flowers?? Rekindle Creative is a pretty talented group! I told them my vision and they got it plus added their own creative spin which I love! All the shades of pink….heart eyes!!
The Cake was pretty and yummy might I add thanks to the pastry chef at Au Fudge
Cake topper by our girl Nic Roc Designs
More magenta ribbon on our little favors also integrating Belle’s hospitality “Be Our Guest”
This is my favorite picture of the birthday girl!!
The whole fam bam here to celebrate Edie!!
Little miss center of attention, and I think she liked it!
Now let’s get to tea time!
This avocado toast…let’s just say I dream about it!
These bouquets were killer…
Then we surprised her with…Guess Who??!!??
The excitement on her face was magic!
She sang, did story time and painted their faces. Belle was pretty much a must have at a princess tea party right??
BPIC (beijos partner in crime) and our Beijos family.
These girls are my heart…
All the little beauties doing their princess pose!! Yes, even Court and Levi!!
It makes me so happy to see these little girls love each other like this. Their mama’s have been friends for a lifetime!
Time to blow out the candles and call it another year Edie boo.
Special Thanks to all of those who made Edie’s 5th Birthday nothing short of perfection!

This past holiday season I decided to take the plunge into the ever popular essential oils. I have seen this little revolution happen all around me for the past 5 years and little by little it peaked my interest. I never bought into it though until I started seeing for myself the incredible benefits that can be had from using these all natural resources. Some of these stories include avoiding sickness altogether, most commonly the cold and flu virus, headaches, anxiety, allergies, receiving natural boosts energy, getting a good nights sleep and the list goes on!! You mean I don’t have to medicate myself with over the counter drugs constantly when one of my family members or myself is experiencing these common ailments?? All natural did you say??? Ok I want to know more….and although I felt late in the game when I finally invested in this fabulous phenomenon, I felt the need to share all the knowledge that was at my fingertips. This was all too good since we live in a world where we are constantly striving to use only the best to promote health and wellness for our loved ones. It’s what it’s all about right??
All photos by the lovely Megan Welker
So like I said this past holiday season, I told the hubby I wanted some oils to jumpstart my collection. He was all for it, so I went the guru herself. She is a dear friend of ours here at Beijos and we recently visited her lovely home so she could educate us a little. It’s the wonderful Melody Brandon, who also co- owns the ever popular and yummy Sweet & Saucy Shop!! How does she have time for this being a bakery owner, a mama and investing her time into her newest passion with these essential oils?? Who knows…she’s what we call a super mom!! You need to follow her instagram feed over on Life on Loma to see this super mama in action. Anyway, here is what she has to say…
So we can’t share this amazing info with out telling you about some other amazing things like making an all natural face toner!!
1 tsp witch hazel
1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp rose water
2 drops Rosemary EO
2 drops Lavender EO
