Beijos Best

Happy Easter Sunday!

Sadly, all the cute Easter bunny ideas are coming to an end today, but that just means its time for Cinco de Mayo inspiration! Yay! It will be here in no time. Yesterday I was on Amazon of all places and found so many fun tees to wear on several days leading up to and on Cinco de Mayo. Today is just round one of all the inspiration we have for this fiesta. Stay tuned! Until then, check out all these cute tees. There are so many fun ones; I kinda want to buy all of them. Eek!

Mate the Label is one of my favorite lines for cool vintage tees. It is a Los Angeles-based company, and they have a collection of vintage inspired graphics that embody the California-cool lifestyle. Pretty sure between Jacquelyn and I we have all of these. Now that I know they are on Amazon, this might be dangerous for the wallet.

I just wore this one yesterday! My personal favorite one, it goes with anything. Pair it with some denim and a cool kimono, and you are all set. The color combination of blush, denim blue, and white makes for a perfect spring tank.

This one is currently in my cart. The simplicity of this cozy long sleeve tee that is made with a super soft fabric is perfect for running around town. Pretty sure you will want to live in this vintage tee.

Calling all margarita lovers! This one is for you ladies! The margarita queen herself, Jacquelyn has this tee, and I’m pretty sure she wears it at least a couple of times a month. When you’re a margarita lover, you gotta let people know what’s up!

This last one is another one that is in my cart. This vintage muscle tee says it perfectly. Spicy! Add a little spice to your life.

Did I just make you fall in love with Mate the label? Pretty fun tees, and even better you can buy them through AmazonHave to love Amazon; you seriously can find everything on there, and it will be here in no time. Pat yourself on the back for having your Cinco de Mayo outfit already and Easter isn’t even begun for most of us. Hopefully, my little bunnies sleep in a tad bit longer.

Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter today! Now if you will excuse me, I have some shopping to do while sipping on a mimosa.

Easter Style

Easter is three days away and we’ve gone over everything style wise from eggs to kids and even our tables.  But have you got your own Easter style ready?  Ever since I was young my mom would always have me in a cute new dress on Easter and well, call me old fashioned, but I like to keep traditions alive.  I mean, I’m just doing my part over here.

There are so many good dresses out there right now!  I think that is one of the reasons I love Spring so much, all of the pretty dresses start to arrive and my heart starts to flutter.  The colors are brighter and fresher and the prints are extra pretty.  That’s what I think of with an Easter outfit – a cute little dress that screams Spring!!  So Abby and I are sharing our picks of dresses for Easter style… Hope it makes your heart skip a beat like it does mine!

Jacquelyn’s Hair by 1011 Makeup

You can shop our looks at the bottom of our post!

First we have Abby wearing this flowy maxi from Free People.  It’s so effortless and easy breezy,  you could continue to wear this through Summer and nobody would want to stop you.  She pairs it with her favorite clutch and sandals, along with a pair of Wyeth lucite sunnies.  And is it just me or is the the perfect dress to eat Easter brunch in??  Room for some stretch right there….

Next up, I’m in this gorgeous slip dress by Spell that I found at Costa Cabana.  I love the blue color and the pretty floral print.  Spell is one of my favorite brands to shop, I always want everything… Still trying to figure out how to do that and not let the husband be the wiser…

I am pairing this dress (and every dress forever and ever) with these cute new suede mules by Matisse.  They are soooo comfy and I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing these a lot this Spring.

Clearly we are loving prints this season because Abby found another one that is killer.  This Jen’s Pirate Booty kaftan is so pretty and that lace detail trim just makes it.  I love how she uses our favorite Cleobella Mexicana clutch to accessorize it.  This baby is sheer so it’s pretty sexy, maybe a good date night Easter outfit?!  Is that a thing?  Haha, we can make it one right?  I mean you know how bunnies like to do it…  Sorry, had to…

Speaking of Cleobella I visited their shop in Seal Beach recently and found this cute little number, the Carnival Dress!  I mean, I could have gone crazy in there so I’m lucky I used self control and only left with this one…  Deep breaths…

Embroidery is huge this Spring and I love the detail and colors that this dress has.  I paired it with my Matisse Mules and my Wyeth sunnies.  This dress is so light and easy, I am thinking I could definitely dress it down with flats and a denim jacket too.  But for Easter you gotta go the fancy route!

There’s our Easter style picks, so now you have no excuse but to look your best on Sunday!!  So now go shopping, you’re allowed!

Spring Break Style

Spring Break is happening, it could be this week, next week, or maybe it was last week, but it’s here!  Don’t get me wrong, I love all Of the seasons but the warmer weather is where my heart is.  Spring Break is sort of the beginning of sunnier days, and such a good excuse to go shopping for a wardrobe update.  Time to store those sweaters and bust out the tank tops!!

I shopped at one of my favorite local boutiques, Costa Cabana, to get some inspiration.  Owner and buyer Lauren Flores has such a great eye.  She brings in only the best brands and the store is so well curated.  They have such a good variety of dresses, sunglasses and swimwear.  So bring on the bright colors and everything else involved with Spring Break style.

Since I was little Spring Break and Summer Break always invoke a sense of fun!  That’s what I think of with Spring Break style, just having fun with it!  Playing with color, wearing things that are easy breezy!  That’s one of the reasons I love these Beach Riot overalls.  They truly bring me back to my childhood.  I would wear them over a swimsuit to the beach or with a tank and sneakers to Disneyland!  Another piece I love in this outfit are the Raen Sunnies, the shape and the color are just the best!!

I get so much inspiration from seeing people’s flat lays.  Something about having the outfit all set out for me to see together, I even do that for myself when I’m getting ready for an event.  With the help of the lovely ladies of Costa Cabana I created a little Spring Break essentials flat lay for y’all.

It’s got everything you need for the sun; a super cute swimsuit, denim cut offs, a tank, a hat, sunnies, sandals and my favorite sea hair spray…

Another Spring Break style essential is a cover up.  You can’t be walking around in your bikini all day long, well unless your Gigi Hadid, then you can do whatever the hell you want.  But seriously, I found the cutest little coverup at Costa Cabana by Amuse Society.  I love the black and white floral print, it’s light weight and covers just enough.  You could totally wear this out as a dress too because it isn’t too sheer…

There you have it!  Now you are all set for Spring Break and all you need is to have some fun!  You can shop all of these looks here:

Our favorite Statement Tops for Spring

Are you like me and seem to ALWAYS buy dresses?!  Whenever I go to find a good top in my closet there are none to be found!  So this year I decided to invest more in tops.  I think the reason I don’t is because they can be somewhat pricey and almost the same as a dress, so I’ll think to myself, why not just buy the dress?  Well silly me, tops can go with so much more!  And statement tops are so fun!!  You can dress them up or down, with shorts, jeans, skirts, you name it.  So this is obviously where I should start putting more of my money!

We found some really great statement tops for Spring we are excited to share with you.  I say “statement” tops because they are each printed and really make a statement with your outfit.  Keep scrolling to shop our looks and to see how we styled them.  I think some of our favorites may be some of yours too!

Look 1

I found this Jen’s Pirate Booty top at one of my favorite boutiques – Prism.  I fell in love with the print and the fit of it but at the time thought it was a little too pricey… But, when I got home I couldn’t stop thinking about it!!  Lucky me, a week or so later they had a flash sale and I just had to snag it up and I’m so glad I did!

I’ve worn it so many times since and love it.  It’s the perfect statement top to take me into summer!  Here I wore it with my Madewell High Rise Skinnies, Cleobella fringe purse (similar here), Wyeth Sunglasses and Free People Sandals.  But I envision it with some denim shorts or overalls when it gets warmer!

Look 2

Abby is jumping in on the statement top game strong with this top by Boemo.  The colors and print are so pretty for Spring and we love the black lace touch on the shoulders.  This is another great bohemian style top that can be dressed casually with some cute shorts like Abby has on here, or dressed up with a pair of black denim.  Abby’s sandals are so cute and from one of our favorite stores – Target!!  You guys gotta snatch these up fast!

This top just reminds me of warm days and would be so cute to wear all Summer long.  It would be especially cute over a swimsuit on an Island getaway… I mean, just saying but shouldn’t Abby’s hubby take her on a vacay just so she can wear this top?  I think so!

Look 3

My second top is just too good, seriously goes with EVERYTHING!  This top by Amuse Society could definitely be worn to work with some black pants or a skirt and then obviously more casually with jeans.  A perfect day to night statement top!

I love the simple but graphic black and white print.  I again paired it with my Madewell High Rise Skinnies – I’ve been wearing the crap out of those lately – a cute hat by Brixton, my favorite Cleobella clutch and my Dolce Vita booties.

I like this look for the colder Spring days but would definitely lose the hat and boots if it was warmer.  Probably throw on some denim shorts and sandals, or even some sneakers!

We’ve got more fun style posts coming up soon!  Now get out there and try some fun statement tops on!

Mama & Kiddo Tees for Spring with Chaser

Remember last week when I talked about my love for graphic tees?!  Well it has officially been passed down to our kids!  Each of us love our Chaser tees and we also love dressing our kids in them.  It’s even better when we can coordinate with them!  Because that’s one of the true joys of parenting, making your kids match you!!  Ha!  So here are a few of our favorite Mama & Kiddo Tees for Spring from Chaser….

Photos of Jacquelyn & Leah by Megan Welker

You can shop each of our looks below our photos!

Jacquelyn & Court

I love to have my two boys match outfits, but when I can get in on the fun it’s even better! The fun rainbow colors on these two tees just made me smile and I thought they coordinated really well.  Mine is a super soft sweatshirt with a fun California surf logo, perfect for our beach mornings.  Court’s tee says “Chillin” over and over again, and honestly I really wish he would learn a lesson from that tee…  It should say “No Chill” over and over again for this dude!  Us crazy kids are even matching in our shoes!!  We get stopped all of the time about that, and my husband is a little jealous I didn’t get him any…

Leah, Edie & Isla

Leah and her lady gang are ready for a sparkly sweet good time!  Edie’s love for unicorns is showing on her tank and Isla’s love for ice cream is all over her tank as well.  Edie loves adding sparkle to any outfit so matching her tee with a sequin skirt was a slam dunk, especially since she’s quite picky about her outfits these days!  Plus her daddy calls her his Unicorn, so the tee fits!!  Meanwhile, Leah is in her cozy sweatshirt that says “Hello Good Times”, a motto every parent should get behind.  They’re only this little for so long so let’s say hello to the good times with them as much as we can!

Abby, Dylan & Jett

Last up is Abby’s tribe with Dylan and Jett.  They are feeling green with their love for the outdoors.  Her kiddos are getting big and are always asking for an adventure, between climbing trees to camp outs, these tees were made for them!  Abby is sporting the palm tree tank, cute to pair with her mom jeans she’s rocking lately.  Jett has the “This Guy Loves Camping” tee and is proud to show it off.  And little Dylan, who is actually getting so big, looks too cute in her Wild & Free Tee.  This trio is ready to take on California this Spring and Summer, one adventure at a time!!

Matching with your kiddos doesn’t have to be cheesy and it’s so fun! Hope we inspired some fun ideas for you!!
