Easter Cards

Yes, you read that right, Easter Cards!!  You send Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, even Thank you Cards (if you’re polite) so why not Easter Cards?!  We thought it would be such a fun touch to let our families know we were thinking about them.  And let’s be honest, the colors for Easter are much more fun to play with then Christmas!!

We asked our friend Kayla Adams, a super talented graphic artist and photographer, to create something for us.  We gave her some color inspriation and wording, and asked her to do what she does best – graphics instead of calligraphy!  Clearly we love calligraphy but sometimes it’s nice to do something a little different.  What she created is so darn cute and playful, we think you’ll love them!

Photos by Kayla Adams (multi talented lady!!)

Let’s start with Abby’s kiddos – Dylan and Jett!  They are getting so big!!  Dylan turns 7 today and Jett is 5 in a few months.  This whole idea was Abby’s, she loves sending cards to her family for Valentine’s Day and thought Easter would be nice this year for a change.  Her card has a simple “Happy Easter” with a yellow border, which goes against those pretty green hills so well!

Next up are my two little bunnies, Cruz and Court!  I asked for a blue border, since duh, two boys!!  And I’m loving the “Some Bunny Loves You” wording with the two of them cheesing with their bunny ears on!  Court will be 3 a few days before Easter and Cruz will be 8 months the following week.  Where does the time go?!  Court’s first Easter was when he was just a few days old and just like that it’s Cruz’s!

Last up is Leah’s brood!  Edie, Isla & Henry… Edie just turned 5, Isla will be 2 soon and Henry will be celebrating his 1st Easter at 8 months old!  So we decided to celebrate that milestone with a card saying “My First Easter”. His big sisters look pretty proud showing him off for it!!  These three have so many fun Easters ahead of them, I can’t wait to watch them grow!

There you have it! Some fun ideas for how you can add some Easter fun to your resume!

Valentines Day Flowers & Love Notes

We are approaching Valentines day pretty quickly here and I don’t know about you but when I think of  love day, all that comes to mind is flowers and love notes.  Have you decided the types of flowers your gonna get for your loved ones?? We picked one of our favorite florists to help us out in this department. Flowers by Mae Mae whipped up this pretty arrangement…

All photos by Megan Welker

I love the mix in colors of red, pink and blush. Now if my hubby brought this home I would be smitten!! Or if you picked it up for your mom, she would have all the heart eyes.

There is nothing like a beautiful arrangement that tells someone how much you appreciate them, and the love you share for each other.

This blush rose is one of my favorites!!

Megan will be getting super busy here in the upcoming weeks with custom orders for her clients, so if you like what you see, make sure you get your order in!!

Here’s another close up before we move on to the floral compliment…

So as I said before, nothing goes better with flowers than a love note from the heart.  We asked Cindy from Blot and dot to make up some cards with her pretty writing to show off your feelings in the best way.

Love all the soft pink water color vibes here

A pretty overview of all her talents

I also love this simple gold heart with the black amore … it’s pretty unique

These cards with the flowers in the background are a pretty good combo.

Here are more of my favorites..the classic be my valentine and love

Then we had to integrate some unique sayings as well.  When you don’t know what to say, these say it all for you.

Ok this one is my favorite, My family will definitely be getting this one.  They are my sun, my moon and all my stars for sure!!

We hope we have inspired you once again to go out and get some flowers and love notes for your people in your life.  Your people that you love and can’t live without.  The ones that you tell you love them day in and day out so Valentines day is really just another day right??  No way… it’s a beautiful day to celebrate the best feeling in life…LOVE!!

Happy Vday!!

Xx Leah

Getting Organized with Shop Bando Agendas

Today is National Agenda day!!! is one of our favorite brands that we always turn to for something fun, and when it comes to staying organized these girls do just that… Make it fun!  We love all of the delightful prints and accessories that they have created, each piece is unique and quirky, just like!!  With our busy schedules being moms, event planners, bloggers, etc we definitely need some organization in our lives and when you throw in some witty little additions that only the girls could think up, you have us sold!!  Today we are going to share our picks of the 17 month agendas and tips on how we use them to stay organized!!

meganwelker-beijos-151 Photos by Megan Welker & Yasmin Sarai always has such pretty and fun prints that it made it incredibly hard to choose which agendas we would want, but we managed!!

I chose this pretty agenda in Marble Jade… I saw that amazing color and knew it must be mine!

meganwelker-beijos-138 All of us Beijos ladies can agree that one of the main ways to stay organized is to make a list… I mean it’s pretty practical right?!  Each week I start off with a big list of things I want to accomplish or get done, sometimes I’ll even do specific things for specific days if I want to get real down and dirty, haha!  But seriously, I love my lists!!  I don’t know about you but I’d be lost with out my grocery lists, I have to make lists for the grocery store or else it’s guaranteed I’ll forget something!!  But holding myself accountable each week helps me to get things done and stay on top of what I need to do.  Plus, checking off my list brings me such an insane sense of satisfaction, haha, it’s the little things people!  And that’s definitely my type A coming out…

meganwelker-beijos-6 meganwelker-beijos-11 meganwelker-beijos-26 meganwelker-beijos-1 Next up is Leah who chose the ombre looking Magic Hour Agenda, which reminds us of a pretty summer sunset…

meganwelker-beijos-128 Leah is on the go a lot!!  She has her two little girls and a little boy on the way so you can imagine she always has her hands full, and it’s about to get even crazier!!  Her favorite part of the agenda is she can take it with her wherever she goes to reference anything she may need.  Another thing we all use is the calendar, which we reference constantly… Having a blog and running an event business we always need to make sure we have our dates and timing under control… We can easily check if we have a conference call with a client or a shoot scheduled before planning what we will do next.  It’s also a great way to remember special dates like anniversaries or birthdays!  Oh, and did we mention how much we love all of’s fun accessories?!  Using their stickers or tape makes it even more enjoyable to add to our calendars, and they have the BEST sayings ever…

meganwelker-beijos-41 meganwelker-beijos-43 meganwelker-beijos-46 meganwelker-beijos-53 Last is Abby who chose the very lovely Lady of Leisure Agenda, how pretty is this print?!

meganwelker-beijos-136 But Abby is definitely not a lady of leisure, she is one busy bee and she needs her agenda!!  Something we must admit is that of course, we all use our iPhones to keep track of our calendars and lists, but our last tip is to still use your agendas… We can’t stress enough how physically writing something down can really help to make it sink into your brain… Plus when you have conference calls or are talking to someone on the phone, it’s much easier to reference something you have written down in front of you.  Believe it or not we will double up the lists on our phone AND in our agendas so we can really keep track of everything we need to do.

yasminsarai_beijosevents_bandoplanner-17 yasminsarai_beijosevents_bandoplanner-15 yasminsarai_beijosevents_bandoplanner-18 yasminsarai_beijosevents_bandoplanner-5 We hope these organization tips helped you!!  Our love affair for continues with these amazing agendas and accessories which we can’t recommend enough!  Let us know any of your organizational tips in the comments, we would love to hear any advice from our readers!!

Mother’s Day Bouquets & Cards

Mother’s Day is in less than 2 weeks!!!  Are you ready???

meganwelker-flowers-14 These next few weeks we have all kinds of fun festive inspiration for your Mother’s Day celebrations (and Cinco de Mayo, we couldn’t forget about that fun holiday) that we can’t wait to share with you!!  We wanted to start off with some real pretty stuff courtesy of MV Florals, Laura Hooper Calligraphy and One Hope Wine.

Now, if you’re like us you are trying to run around finding the perfect gift for all of the mom’s in your life… Whether it’s your own mom, your mother in law, your grandmother, your bff or whoever, it’s always hard to find that perfect gift!  Well we’re here to tell you this…. Keep it simple!  Every lady we know loves a thoughtful card, flowers and maybe even a bottle of wine or champagne!  Maybe some chocolate too…

Check out the inspiration below and don’t forget to order your gifts in advance!!  If you are in the Orange County area Meagan of MV Florals can create one of these beauties for you via her email – – Laura Hooper Calligraphy has your pretty card needs on her website and you can order either of these pretty sparkly One Hope bottles via their website as well, and remember, portions go to a good cause!!

Now for the pretty…

All photos by Megan Welker

Let’s start off with my personal favorite… YELLOW!!! I love this bright and sunny color so much, it just makes me happy looking at it!  Meagan used simple tulips for this one, simple but with a punch of color!!  All of the bouquets are wrapped with the prettiest paper with the loveliest words from Laura Hooper Calligraphy… And you can pair with this bright and happy card from Laura Hooper Calligraphy as well for the perfect dose of happiness for that Mama you know!

meganwelker-flowers-16 meganwelker-cards-14 Our next lovely bouquet has some fun color as well, we love the mix of greenery, pinks and purples…  It’s like Spring just jumped out at us!!  For this one Meagan used some of our favorite Spring blooms like lilac, peonies and ranunculus… Pair it with this simple and pink Laura Hooper Card and the beautiful pink glitter bottle chardonnay from One Hope Wine where every 2 bottles sold funds a clinical trial for one woman with breast cancer.

meganwelker-flowers-11 meganwelker-flowers-4 meganwelker-cards-7 Our last dose of pretty is simple yet stunning, we love this white and green bouquet where Meagan used delphiunium with silver dollar eucalyptus leaves.  Not only did the eucalyptus smell delicious (nice rhyme) but it would look gorgeous in anyone’s home with the simple colors.  We added this pretty water color floral card from Laura Hooper to it and the silver glitter sparkling wine One Hope bottle where each bottle sold provides 15 meals to a child in need.

meganwelker-flowers-22 meganwelker-flowers-27 meganwelker-cards-1 Hope we helped you with some of your gift giving… Stay tuned for a beautiful hand made gift next week!!

Valentine’s Day Date with Pottery Barn Kids

We love any holiday where we can put together a pretty looking table for the occasion. But the most favorite one of all is definitely Valentines Day. Although we do love the chocolate, the flowers (we love those everyday), the mushy cards, it really is all about the kids for us on this one. So when it came time to put together a little party and table, we teamed up with Pottery Barn Kids to create the perfect day for our little ones.

Photos by Yasmin Sarai

You can also see this dreamy table on Pottery Barn Kids Blog and 100 Layer Cake-let today!

A dreamy table all starts with the decor and flowers. Pottery Barn Kids Valentine’s Day collection this year is just the cutest, anyone will fall in love with these items. Be sure to get some before they are all gone.

When you were little don’t you remember making paper heart mail boxes to go over your chair or on top of your desk? I loved doing that when I was little. When I saw these heart chair covers, I knew this was a must for a valentines day party. These Love Notes Chairbacker is also so cute! I love how the red flag comes up, you got mail!

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-58 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-79

This pretty table was set with all the Pottery Barn Kids Valentine’s Day  I love you bowls, flatware, and placemats alongside the airplane and kitty plates and cups. On the side of the plates were the cute valentines card set which include red heart shaped straws. Any little kiddie will love drinking out of those.

We used the I love you bowl to use as a holder for the littles name cards. Christine Cater filled the bowls with loose flowers and we placed the acrylic heart name card on top. So cute right? We love this idea for any holiday or occasion, the added detail of flowers just makes it. Don’t you think?

The acrylic hearts were done by Meghann Miniello, along with the invite and game we will show you in a bit!

Now no table can set without flowers and dessert right!?

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-52 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-56

Christine Cater did this amazing arrangement that we are obsessed with. I love the added mint in there, I could smell this beauty all day.

On the side was the Valentines Day two tiered centerpiece that was filled with an assortment of yummy cupcakes, macaroons, heart shaped dipped cookies from our favorite dessert place, The Sugar Studio. In the mix was small acrylic conversation hearts and loose flowers. The Sugar Studio nailed the perfect Valentines Day mix of macaroons. I love the ones with the “xoxo” on them. So cute!

loose flowers on the ground is my ultimate favorite party detail!

This table was a setting for a love date with my littles, Jett and Dylan. I love getting them together to spend a little time with each other for the holidays. Another fun tradition that I like to do with them each year. You might have seen our other tradition this past weekend with our little men in our lives. See  our Mama Son date here. It is so fun to start these traditions when the kids are young. Something they will love to do every year and hopefully for years to come.

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-87 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-89 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-93

Of course when you have a love date you need an invite. Meghann Miniello created this cute heart invite that goes along with the Pottery Barn Kids Valentines Day theme this year. This little date is a great idea for two little ones, or even more! Invite your little’s close pals and have a little afternoon of sweets and play time. This is also a great idea if your little one’s birthday falls on or near Valentine’s Day.

Christine created this breathtaking floral installation that set the scene for the afternoon. That lady out does herself overtime! If this could stay alive to keep up all year long.

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-150 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-144

I mean couldn’t you just started at this all day. Can you spy those crazy two toned roses that look like they got splatter paint one them? So so good!

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-9 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-13 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-12

The Heart mobile above the table set the mood for the kiddies. Christine also made heart shapes out of cabbage and hearts that were placed on the heart mobile. So cute! This lady also went DIY on us, and made the adorable colored arrows that you see on the table. We will be seeing a DIY from her soon.

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-104 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-106

The littles started their date with a little sweet snack and sparkling juice out of the heart straws.

They continued their love date with playing “Lay One on Me” where they were blindfolded and tried to place a felt heart on their faces. So funny to watch! They loved playing this game! Jett was very serious about his placement of his heart.

You can save the poster which Meghann Miniello made by blowing up a picture of the Dylan and Jett, and use it as Valentines Day decor in your home after their little love date is over. You can do this yourself by uploading a picture at Walgreens or any other online photo source and making it a poster size.

yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-167 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-171 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-176 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-174 yasminsarai_beijosevents_PBkidsvalentinesday-178

Ending the date, they had story time with some of their favorite Valentines Day books. We are loving the In My Heart book and Love is All Around California books. Another little tradition in our home is new books for Valentines Day. They love seeing what mommy picked out for this each year.

We hope you loved taking a peek into our family traditions, and hopefully gave you ideas to start your own!

Such a fun day for them!
