Let’s Wrap with our Holiday Favorites from Bash Party

We’re kicking off the holiday season and our to do list wrapping our gifts and making them all sorts of pretty!  I am a big Bash Party Goods fan and love using their amazing collection at parties.  When I saw they had an amazing wrapping paper collection for the holidays I was super excited!  One of the best part of the holidays is gifting to the ones we love, I just like to make them look extra pretty while I’m at it…

Here’s their collection with a Beijos twist.  I added some fun little bits and bobbles to each gift and I can’t wait to pass them out to my loved ones in a few weeks!  There’s still plenty of time to get your wrapping paper, so head on over to make sure yours are just as pretty!

Kicking it off with this Snowing Pink paper… I love that it mixes pinks with reds!  And how cute is this gift tag by Poppy Jack Shop?!  She has so many great pieces in her Etsy shop right now for the holidays.  I’m also obsessed with that fringe ribbon I added, I basically want to wrap everything with it now!

Next up, we aren’t using any green up in here!  It’s all about mixing the pinks and mints my friends!!  Gotta love this Jazzy Trees print…  I added some really pretty velvet ribbon, because I’m all about the velvet these days.  And well, fresh flowers are always a good idea!  Even on gift wrap!

This is the paper I felt was the most traditional… Sort of reminded me of peppermints, must be why it’s called Peppermint Sprinkles!  With the red and pink colors I felt like it needed something else… So I added some mint pom poms and disco balls, because that is what one does!  Obviously!  I also think a bit of eucalyptus tucked in wouldn’t be a bad idea…

Last but not least, the gorgeous Sweater Weather print.  No ugly Christmas sweaters up in here!  I love the mix of colors, you basically can’t go wrong here!  I played with more pom pom trim of course and love it!  I can’t wait to see everyone’s faces when they open their gifts!!

Happy Wrapping!

Easter Cards

Yes, you read that right, Easter Cards!!  You send Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, even Thank you Cards (if you’re polite) so why not Easter Cards?!  We thought it would be such a fun touch to let our families know we were thinking about them.  And let’s be honest, the colors for Easter are much more fun to play with then Christmas!!

We asked our friend Kayla Adams, a super talented graphic artist and photographer, to create something for us.  We gave her some color inspriation and wording, and asked her to do what she does best – graphics instead of calligraphy!  Clearly we love calligraphy but sometimes it’s nice to do something a little different.  What she created is so darn cute and playful, we think you’ll love them!

Photos by Kayla Adams (multi talented lady!!)

Let’s start with Abby’s kiddos – Dylan and Jett!  They are getting so big!!  Dylan turns 7 today and Jett is 5 in a few months.  This whole idea was Abby’s, she loves sending cards to her family for Valentine’s Day and thought Easter would be nice this year for a change.  Her card has a simple “Happy Easter” with a yellow border, which goes against those pretty green hills so well!

Next up are my two little bunnies, Cruz and Court!  I asked for a blue border, since duh, two boys!!  And I’m loving the “Some Bunny Loves You” wording with the two of them cheesing with their bunny ears on!  Court will be 3 a few days before Easter and Cruz will be 8 months the following week.  Where does the time go?!  Court’s first Easter was when he was just a few days old and just like that it’s Cruz’s!

Last up is Leah’s brood!  Edie, Isla & Henry… Edie just turned 5, Isla will be 2 soon and Henry will be celebrating his 1st Easter at 8 months old!  So we decided to celebrate that milestone with a card saying “My First Easter”. His big sisters look pretty proud showing him off for it!!  These three have so many fun Easters ahead of them, I can’t wait to watch them grow!

There you have it! Some fun ideas for how you can add some Easter fun to your resume!

Valentine’s Day Card Ideas

One of the best things about being a parent is getting to relive all of the holidays with your kids.  This is my first year with Court being in pre-school for a holiday, Valentine’s Day!  One of my favorites!!!  My birthday is the day before Valentine’s Day so it has always held a special place in my heart.  I was especially excited for this holiday because I got to come up with some Valentine’s Day card ideas!!

When Ms. Sherri, Court’s teacher, told me he had to bring 24 Valentine’s Day Cards for everyone in his class I was so excited!!  Yay!!  It was finally happening, I was getting to do the mom things I’d always dreamed about!  I really love coming up with creative ideas for my kids, whether it’s birthday parties, every day activities or special treats for the holidays.  So in my case I take these kind of things as a challenge… Challenge accepted Ms. Sherri!!

We all know that candy is not really ok these days…  There are so many allergies out there so you have to be so careful!  That’s why I wanted to come up with some non candy Valentine’s Day card ideas to share with you.  I asked Leah & Abby to each do one as well so we could share some options with you!  Hope they inspire you!!

All cards by the uber talented Meghann Miniello

For Court’s card I wanted to do something with a beachy surf theme… Because he’s like totally a grom bro!  Just kidding!  But really, he loves the beach and I just thought these army surfer men & women were so amazing!!  They are the perfect fun little gift and totally unexpected.  I definitely think he will be unique at class and both boys and girls will love them!

How cute is his little face in this photo?!  I took it the other day right before we headed down for some playground time on the beach.  His card says “You make my heart SWELL” – a little beach pun!!

Leah decided to do a joint card for Edie & Isla, her two little girly girls!  She found these adorable heart stunner shades online and knew they would be such a fun Valentine’s Day treat.  They come in a variety of colors – not pictured are blue, so if you’re worried this is too girly don’t be!  Every kiddo has fun dressing up and we can just picture how much fun these would be at a Valentine’s Day party!

Meghann added two little mini hearts to put the shades into and you can give the cards like this below!  The caption says “All the Heart Eyes For You!”  So perfect!!  I think this one is my favorite!

Next up is the Guido kids… Abby used this super sweet photo of Dylan & Jett having a smooch fest for her Valentine Card.  Nothing like these kissing photos to show them when they’re older, or when they are fighting to remind them that they actually DO love each other!  Ha!  Abby used Glo-Sticks for her special treat, so fun, right?!  The perfect addition to that Valentine rave your kids are headed too, haha, or for just some fun because who doesn’t love a Glo-Stick?!

The caption says “You make my heart glow”, isn’t that the cutest?!  And you can stick the glow stick through the card, how adorable is that?!  We know these would be a hit at school!

Hope this inspired you with some fun non candy Valentine’s Day Card ideas!

Valentines Day Flowers & Love Notes

We are approaching Valentines day pretty quickly here and I don’t know about you but when I think of  love day, all that comes to mind is flowers and love notes.  Have you decided the types of flowers your gonna get for your loved ones?? We picked one of our favorite florists to help us out in this department. Flowers by Mae Mae whipped up this pretty arrangement…

All photos by Megan Welker

I love the mix in colors of red, pink and blush. Now if my hubby brought this home I would be smitten!! Or if you picked it up for your mom, she would have all the heart eyes.

There is nothing like a beautiful arrangement that tells someone how much you appreciate them, and the love you share for each other.

This blush rose is one of my favorites!!

Megan will be getting super busy here in the upcoming weeks with custom orders for her clients, so if you like what you see, make sure you get your order in!!

Here’s another close up before we move on to the floral compliment…

So as I said before, nothing goes better with flowers than a love note from the heart.  We asked Cindy from Blot and dot to make up some cards with her pretty writing to show off your feelings in the best way.

Love all the soft pink water color vibes here

A pretty overview of all her talents

I also love this simple gold heart with the black amore … it’s pretty unique

These cards with the flowers in the background are a pretty good combo.

Here are more of my favorites..the classic be my valentine and love

Then we had to integrate some unique sayings as well.  When you don’t know what to say, these say it all for you.

Ok this one is my favorite, My family will definitely be getting this one.  They are my sun, my moon and all my stars for sure!!

We hope we have inspired you once again to go out and get some flowers and love notes for your people in your life.  Your people that you love and can’t live without.  The ones that you tell you love them day in and day out so Valentines day is really just another day right??  No way… it’s a beautiful day to celebrate the best feeling in life…LOVE!!

Happy Vday!!

Xx Leah

Beijos Picks – Gift Wrapping

Since I have been doing the gift wrapping post for some years now, if you are a loyal follower you know it is one of my favorite things to do this time of year! This year I wanted to be a little funky, even though my favorite combo is craft paper a simple ribbon and some pine branches… It’s good to step outside of the box and see what else is out there.  One of my favorite paper places in the world is…yup you guessed it Paper Source!  I mean they have the prettiest paper and use the best combination of color.  They are classic, funky and vintage all at the same time. Plus they have the best greeting cards evvveeerrrr!!!  So this year I went to Paper Source and got some paper and ribbon to show off my gift wrapping skills.

Here is my throwback with with the cute little vintage Christmas scene and the braided yarn.

The other little detail are these acrylic gift tags done by our girl Nic Roc Designs.  They add the perfect, yet unique touch to your gift.  People will flip at the detail, I’m telling you.  You have to check out her shop here for an array of gift tags, perfect to adorn your gifts with this season.

Next is my funky donkey Christmas paper lol… I love the idea of black, hot pink and blue on my wrapping paper, mixed with a traditional tree here and there.  So I also went with some pink, yellow and green hemp ribbon on this one. I didn’t want to take away from the beautiful detail of this paper.

Then for my gift tag I went with the stag for sure.

Hey so I hope I’m making you run out to Paper Source for some kick ass paper and ribbon, and don’t forget your gift tags from Nic Roc!!

Happy Christmas peeps!!

Peace, Leah
